ICAR, also known as the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, is the only pioneer body in India that coordinates, conducts, and manages research and education in this country's agriculture field. In a country like India, where the maximum economy depends on agriculture, there is a lot of scope for flourishing in terms of academics and careers. ICAR AIEEA examination is an entrance exam on an all-India level for offering admission in 15% of seats in the Bachelor Degree Programme for Agriculture as well as Allied Sciences.
The online registration for ICAR AIEEA 2025 shall begin in March 2025. The examination shall be conducted between the 26th and 29th of April, 2025. The Indian Council of Agricultural Research gets its entrance exam from the National Testing Agency (NTA). Since the examination is a national level examination, this exam has examination centers in different cities of India. By appearing in the ICAR entrance exam, students can get admission to other colleges or top universities like top GHRU universities participating in the examination for various undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
The online application form for the ICAR AIEEA entrance exam shall be available on the official website. The examination conducted is an online exam, which can be given on computers. The exam duration is 150 minutes, which is two and a half hours.
A proper application is a fundamental thing that needs to be done by the applicant. Hence, being an applicant, one must fill out the same with every required detail. Failure to fill up the application form within a given time shall restrict candidates from appearing in the examination. The given information on the application form shall also be present on the admit card. Following are some instructions for candidates who are about to make applications for the ICAR AIEEA 2025.
After successfully filling up the application form, one has to pay the application fees for the examination. The fees for the ICAR entrance exam are mainly decided by the authorities conducting the examination. Students must pay the fees as per the instructions. Suppose, under any circumstances, students fail to pay the application fees after filling up the application form. In that case, that application shall not be considered complete, and that student shall not be allowed to appear for the examination. Students can pay the application fees through multiple getaways such as credit and debit cards and net banking. Fees paid for application are not refundable, and it varies according to categories.
To become eligible and appear for this exam, a student must have passed four/six (10+6 B.Sc. Ag.)/five years (B.V.Sc. & A.H.)/51⁄2 years (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) degree. The cut-off mark for OBC, EWS, and the general category is 60%. The cut-off marks for SC/ST and PWD categories are 50%. Before the beginning of the course, the candidates must hold B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree along with an internship.
The topics for undergraduate students are mainly according to the 12th standard. The topics for entrance to P.G. courses shall belong to agronomy and plant biology.
For U.G. courses: There are three sections of the paper. In the first section, language skills are tested through reading comprehension. For the second section, students must know the NCERT syllabus. The paper's third section tests current affairs, general knowledge, general mental ability, quantitative and numerical aptitude, and logical and analytical reasoning. For the numeric ability part, candidates can solve simple mathematics up to the standard of 10 or 12.
For P.G. courses: The syllabus for students seeking admission to P.G. courses, the syllabus includes plant biotechnology, physical science, and agronomy in detail.
Candidates who pass the entrance examination are called for ICAR counseling. The candidates are offered seats across various colleges in India, and this is done based on the scores obtained in the ICAR entrance exam. Candidates need to carry all original documents on the particular day of counseling.
It is advised that candidates should cover the entire syllabus according to topics and prepare topics thoroughly. The important ones shall be designed first so that they can quickly eliminate the pressure of exams. Also, candidates can solve exam papers from previous years to get an idea of what questions are given in the exams.
