Collaboration & community engagement

Community Engagement & Collaboration at G H Raisoni University, Saikheda G H Raisoni University (GHRU), Saikheda, actively promotes a culture of social responsibility, industry collaboration, and community empowerment. The university stands out for its holistic approach—blending education, research, and community service. Through scholarships, mobile outreach, village adoption, and diverse collaborations, the university not only enriches student learning but also actively contributes to regional development and social change.

Below is an overview of some of our key initiatives and partnerships:

1. Social Initiatives

SGR Knowledge Foundation Scholarship: Provides financial aid to meritorious students in need, helping bridge educational gaps.

Mobile Soil testing Van: A mobile lab that collects soil samples from nearby villages and helps farmers with soil testing. The analysis results have helped the farmers in the region to save on fertilizers and related input costs and also improve the soil quality by avoiding excessive use of fertilizers.

Knowledge Series: Invites experts across fields to share insights through lectures, fostering continuous learning across disciplines.

Village Adoption: The university has adopted five (Pls. confirm) villages to provide education, health awareness, plantation drives, and other development activities.

Health Camps & Social Drives: Including medical and eye camps and blood donation drives in partnership with the SGR Foundation.

Ballon type Biogas plant: The School of Engineering and Technology has developed a low-cost balloon type biogas plant which can be customized for small holding farmers.

2. Strategic Collaborations (MoUs)

With Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture & Technology (Udaipur) and ICAR – Central Institute for Subtropical Horticulture (Lucknow) to support faculty and students in cooperative education, lab setups, exchanges, and research.

With Vision Digital India (Bangalore): Offers innovative short courses in areas such as data science, analytics, digital marketing, and ML.

Bosch Partnership: Strengthens vocational skill development for underprivileged youth, especially for service sectors.

With Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC): Via the AKRUTI-KRUTIK-FORCE program, enables technology transfer and supports the “Village AHEAD” village transformation initiative.

With CIIMS-ARC: Central India Institute of Medical Sciences – Advanced Research Centre (an ICMR Collaborating Centre of Excellence) for joint research projects and training of students in advanced techniques in molecular biology and biotechnology.

3. Academic and Research Vision

GHRU’s vision stresses strengthening its research ecosystem in alignment with NEP 2020. Its mission underscores collaboration with industry, government, NGOs, and other stakeholders at multiple levels, aiming to boost research productivity and resource mobilization.

Capstone Projects

A capstone project is a final-year academic project (often at the end of an undergraduate or postgraduate program) where students apply what they have learned throughout their course to solve a real-world problem, conduct research, or create an innovative product. It is called a “capstone” because, like the final stone placed on top of a building, it represents the culmination of a student’s learning journey.
