Eligibility
Firstly, if candidates have cleared 12th boards from a recognized board then they are
eligible to
apply
for this course. But they should have had English as one of the subjects and
Physics, Chemistry,
Mathematics (P.C.M), and or Biology (P.C.B / P.C.M.B.) as optional subjects were
individually.

Careers
Career opportunities available for students who have done a course in pharmacy are wide
and bright. To
build a stronger base in the field or specialize in a particular topic of interest one
can go for higher
studies. Otherwise, one can also directly take up a job and start working in the
industry.
Further Studies:
After a D.Pharm degree one can do B.Pharm, PharmD, M.Pharm, etc. A provision for getting
admitted in
the
2nd year of B.Pharm is available for people who have done a D.Pharm course. Higher
education will help
one
enhance their skills and knowledge. Thus, better job opportunities will knock on their
doors.
Job Opportunities
A number of employment opportunities are possible for people who have a Diploma in
Pharmacy. They can
work as a drug inspector or pharmacist in the government sector, open a medicine retail
shop, work at a
pharmacy store, work in a drug manufacturing company or work in the education sector.
Also, various
companies and organizations may hire them for posts like Consultant Pharmacist, Clinical
Pharmacist, and
Medicines safety Manager.
