G H Raisoni University was established on 13th June, 2016 under The Madhya Pradesh Niji Vishwavidyalaya (Sthapana evam Sanchalan) Adhiniyam Act No. 17 of 2007’. It is situated at Saikheda, which is at the border of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. The University is at a distance of Approx 60Kms from Nagpur as well as Chhindwara.

G H Raisoni University, Saikheda in Association with SGR Knowledge Foundation organised an eye screening camp with the help of Mahatame Eye Bank and Hospital from Nagpur.
G H Raisoni University, Saikheda (Dhodaborgaon) organized a seminar on the occasion of Farmer’s Day. All the farmers of Sausar and Pandhurna region were invited for this event.
On 1st February, 2021, successfully completed the event of Mega Tree Plantation under the National Service Scheme (NSS) at Bothiya village.

With the introduction of Rawry, GHRU takes pride in becoming the first Indian University to create a milestone with the introduction of a ‘Mascot’, meaning ‘Lucky Charm’. To bring the concept to its deeper meaning and value, we dug harder and harder into the soils of GHRU to meet its core identity. This conclave with the soul of GHRU made us aware of the need and significance of a mascot and that’s where we put into spotlight ‘Our Mascot – Rawry’.
