The Shri Ramtek temple is a historic fort temple located in Ramtek, just about 79 km from G H Raisoni University, Saikheda campus, believed to be the place where Lord Rama rested during his exile. The current temple was built by the Maratha ruler Raghuji Bhonsale in the 18th century and is also associated with the poet Kalidasa, who is said to have written parts of his work Meghaduta there.
