“ Engineer's Day Celebration”

Technical Club headed by School of Engineering & Technology had organised Two Day “ Mini model project competition” on 13th and 14th September 2019 to Celebrate “Engineer’s Day ” The competition was based on collection of project ideas that cover a number of issues related to the themes listed as Green Power ; Rainwater Harvesting ; Energy Conservation; Sensors and detectors; Pollution ; Soil Quality; Drug formulation and manufacturing; Greenhouse Effect ; Climate Change. The students with best mini models were awarded the prizes.

The School of Engg and Technology Celebrated, the Engineer’s Day on 16 th September, 2019, in honour of Bharat Ratna Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvarayya as a tribute to one of the greatest engineer of the country for his outstanding contribution to society. The celebration was attended by a large number of students, faculty and staff members Renowned Professor Prof. Apritosh Gahankari from NIT,Nagpur graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and the Registar Prof. Shriram Joshi presided over the function.

Inaugural function started at 9.30a.m in RajaLakshmi Seminar Hall. The Inaugural function started with a prayer song , Dr. Sachin Karale ,Deal of School of Enigineering,Event coordinators Prof. Ravi Gedam, Prof. Neha Singh welcomed the keynote speaker , Prof.Arpitosh Gahankari, HOD, CSE Department, NIT,Nagpur and the participants of the event. The welcome speech was followed by the lighting of lamp by the dignitaries and speaker "Carrier guidance" was the theme of the event. This event is planned to create awareness to students.

The Session was started at 11:30 a.m and during the session from 11:30 am to 01:30pm, the guest speaker, Prof.Arpitosh Gahankari, HOD, CSE Department, explained the “Carrier Opportunity” and need of Industry .Around 100 students and faculty members from various departments have participated.

The second half event was working model making competition, participated by the students of the Institute. A large number of models were there for the demonstration. Some of the major attractions of the working model making competition were Building construction model, web site, aeroplane, smell detector, Metal detector. The Registrar sir and the Chief Guest of the event, evaluated the models based on innovation and creativity involved. The Winner teams earned prizes 1st GSM model, 2nd price for metal detector, special prize for Aeroplane and all the other teams received certificates of participation. Also Departmental level topper Civil Engineering Ms. Vrushali Gujar, Mininig Mr. Mahesh Gudadhe; Computer Science Engineering Mr. Pralhad Kolhe, Mechanical Engineering Mr. Sai Aditya ,1st year topper Ms. Ayushi Chauksey have been conferred the trophy and prizes
