Celebration of Shiv Jayanti at G H RAISONI UNIVERSITY, SAIKHEDA

Celebration of Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti at G H Raisoni University, Saikheda was done February 2020. A grand event was conducted on the eve of Shiv Jayanti Sohala. This event was conducted by Students Forum cell of GHRU, Saikheda. Student’s volunteers have taken many effort to make the event grand success. Students fabricated the Palkhi and decorated it fir the event. This program included Skit on Shivaji Maharaj, Lezim Dance, Dance, Lathi Kathi. Palkhi, Talvarbazi started from Bhoomiputra Cultural and sports Academy, Nagpur and entered in GHRU Campus where it was worshiped by Dr. Meena Rajesh, Vice Chancellor, GHRU & Renowned motivational speaker Dr. Sumant Tekade, Chief Guest Nagpur.

Students performed on Lezim in front of guest then Bhoomiputra Group performed Lathi kathi & Talwar Baji. Guest have overwhelmed by watching the program and appreciated during his inaugural speech. All the forum Incharge, Boys Hostel Students have taken many efforts for all activities under the guidance of Dr. Meena Rajesh, Vice Chancellor. She appreciated for the activities carried out under Forum in whole year during her inaugural speech.

G H Raisoni University Organized Two Days “National Symposium” Sponsored by APTI & Global Edu. Ltd.

A two days National symposium entitled “An Approach to Pharmaceutical Insight through Interdisciplinary Research" was organized by School of Pharmacy, G H Raisoni University, Saikheda (M.P) in collaboration with APTI & Global Edu. Ltd. on 14th & 15th February 2020. The symposium was attended by approximately 250 participants across India. The event was inaugurated with gracious presence of Dr. Meena Rajesh Vice Chancellor, Mr. Shriram Joshi Registrar and Dr. Suhas Sakarkar, Dean School of pharmacy. Dr. Suhas Sakarkar addressed the participants, highlighted the activities & introduced the theme of National Symposium. Dr. Meena Rajesh, Vice Chancellor delivered an inaugural address in the first session. The chief guests for first day were Dr. Anil Pethe, Dean, NMIMS, Hyderabad and Dr. Abhijeet Deshmukh, Global head, Mylan Laboratories Hyderabad.

In the post lunch session, National Level quiz competition was organized with overwhelming response from students of various institutes.

On second day i.e. 15th February, The chief guest was Dr. P.G. Yeole, Vice- Chancellor, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. He released abstract book of this event. Also, he addressed the pharma people with his valuable words. Around one thirty papers which were accepted for presentation by peer review, were presented at parallel sessions throughout the day. The presentations were based on themes including life sciences, Pharmacy, Medical Sciences, Agriculture, Anatomy, Genetics,

Zoology, related areas Engineering & Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Bioinformatics Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology Computer software and applications. All the sessions were followed by lively interactions. On same day, a working model competition was organized related to theme of conference. Eighty attractive working models (Tablet punching, Capsule filling, Injectable, different body system, advance drug technology) presented on this day. The Valedictory address was offered by Dr. Prafulla Sable, CoE, and Dr. Rajendra Kakde, Professor, RTMNU, Nagpur.

On this occasion, Teaching, Non-teaching, Students from various colleges were present and made this event memorable. The certificates, prize distribution were made to all participants & winner of competition.

Republic Day Celebrated at GHRU, Saikheda

G H Raisoni University, Saikheda celebrated 71st Republic Day Flag Hoisting Ceremony with high spirits of nationalism and patriotism. The tri-colour flag was hoisted by Dr. Meena Rajesh, Vice Chancellor, G H Raisoni University Saikheda, His inspiring speech was truly relevant and focused on the importance of this day and how our generation can contribute towards development and growth of our nation. He encouraged us to become great like Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, Bhagat Singh, Rashtrapita Mahatma Gandhi and Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. A number of students sing song full of Patriotism. Some students also performed Patriotism dance. G.H. Raisoni University Registrar Mr. Shriram Joshi throw some light on the struggle for the freedom of India. The function came to an end with our National Anthem after that sweets were distributed among the students. All were happy and very excited on this aspious occasion. 26 January is very important to us because this day remind us of the sacrifices of those who gave up their lives for the freedom of India.

G H Raisoni University, Saikheda Organized Mega Inter School & Collegiate Dance & Singing Competition “SPANDAN”

G H Raisoni University has organized the cultural programme “Mega Inter School & Collegiate Dance & Singing Competition” “SPANDAN” at “Seminar Hall” on 29th January 2020. The purpose behind this competition was to give students a platform to showcase their talent and pay tribute to our rich Indian culture and tradition. The children enthusiastically participated in the competition. The programme was coordinated and organized by Dance Drama & Music Club (DDM Club) & Event Management & Personality Development Club (EMPD Club) Coordinator Prof. Lalchand D Devhare & Prof. Addher Goyal.

The inaugural function commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest Dr. Meena Rajesh, Vice Chancellor, G H Raisoni University, Prof. Shriram Joshi, Registrar, Dr. Kevin Gawli, Dr. Suhas Sakarkar, Prof. Abhijeet Jaiswal, Mr.Gautam Jain, Mr. Sanjay Das, Mr. Sharukh Humne GHRU.

The judges for the event were Mr. Sharukh Humne, Dance & Music Teacher GHRU graced the occasion with their presence. The participants were judged on rhythm, co-ordination, expression and overall presentation

The singing & dancing participant students were approximately 300 from 30 different School & colleges (Balpande College of Pharmacy, Science College Pandhurna, Taywade college of Pharmacy, Yoga College Pandhurna, Datta Meghe Medical College Nagpur, Dance College Gondia, Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research Wardha, DDC College, Sunflower School Saunsar, Prabhavati Manekar School, City School etc

The young aspiring singers & dancers enthralled the judges & the audience with their well-choreographed performances and each participant outperformed the other.

The competition concluded with the encouraging words Prof. Lalchand D Devhare (DDM Club Coordinator) delivered a vote of thanks. He was pleasantly surprised to note the passion & interest with which the students participated. He also said that success is an epitome of hard work.

The Vice Chancellor, Dr. Meena Rajesh applauded the student and encouraged them to keep their interest alive in Indian Classical Dance and Music.

The second position in the solo dances was bagged by Manisha Dongare & and the winners was Aboli Shinde. The winner in the group dances was bagged by Prabhawati Manekar High Shool . The second position in the solo singing competition was bagged by Vaishnavi Kamdi & the winners were the Niviya Bahmne. The winner in the group singing was bagged by Tywade Institute of Diploma in Pharmacy Nagpur.

GHRU, Saikheda Organized “Science Exhibition – 2020”

School of Engineering and Technology, GHRU, Saikheda organized science Exhibition Competition-2020 on 29th January 2020 for the school students from different part of M.P & M.H. More than 200 students participated in this competition. The activity aims at providing a common platform to students to give shape to their innovations ideas and learn from each other’s experiences.

Event is inaugurated by chief guest Shri Vijay Chaure, MLA Sausar Constituency and Shri Punaram Bawistale, Block Congress President, Dr.Meena Rajesh,Vice Chancellor of GHRU, Dr.Sachin Karale Dean SOET and Mr.Shriram Joshi Registrar GHRU.

The science exhibition is our small offering to the nation. We believe that strides of science and technology alone, can liberate our motherland in the modern world and therefore we strive quietly to construct a scientific and creative attitude among young minds.

Exhibitors from Arvind Indo Public School Katol won the 1st prize, Exhibitor from Bright convent school Teegaon won the 2nd prize And Exhibitors form Govt. Higher secondary school Paradsinga won 3rd Prize.

The participating teams shared their creative ideas and solution to everyday challenges through their innovative working/non-working models, exhibits projects and presentation supported by reports, display and research finding.

It was heartening to notice that the students had been inspired to conceptualize and initiative their personal scientific journey through self-motivation and with a concern for sustainability and inclusivity.

The Organizing Committee Dr. Amantulla Mansuri and Prof. Pooja Lonare and other faculty member from SOET took efforts to make this event a grand success.

Seminar on “Android Technology” at GHRU, Saikheda

One day seminar on “Android Technology” was successfully conducted by the department of computer science and Engineering under School of Engineering and technology on 22nd February 2020.

Primary Objective of this program was to aware about Android Technology among students. To conduct this seminar, Team from CNC Web world, Nagpur took efforts to inculcate awareness about the concepts like Introduction of Android technology, Java Integration for Android technology, Coding Standards, Android Studio, Project Structure etc.

The Program was inaugurated by Mr.Nilesh Kale (Owner, Fasttrack group in association with CNC Web World) and Mr. Komal Zoting (Android Developer, CNC Web World) as Chief Guest, Dr.Meena Rajesh (Vice Chancellor, G H Raisoni University), Mr. Shriram Joshi (Registrar, GHRU), Dr.Sachin Karale(Dean of Academics, GHRU), Prof. Shailesh Vyas(Event Coordinator), Prof. Sonia Bajaj(Event Co-coordinator) and other departments from G H Raisoni University were also present for inauguration ceremony.

During this workshop, Mr.Komal Zoting expressed that everyone must adopt the change in technology and also expressed the career opportunities and future scope of the Android Technology. He also emphasized on the fact that this digital world provides many conveniences.

G H Raisoni University, Saikheda conducted Workshop on “Data Science & 3-D Printing”

In the 21st century, the new driving force behind industries is Data. As a matter of fact, even automobile industries are using data to impart autonomy and improve the safety of their vehicles. The idea is to create powerful machines that think in the form of data. Data Science is also the electricity that powers the industries of today. Industries need data to improve their performance, make their business grow and provide better products to their customers. Similarly, take an example of a Business Intelligence company is required to analyze its potential customer’s base. It requires a Data Scientist to utilize the data they breathe on the internet to track their daily trends and analyze their behavioral patterns. "Data Scientist" is the #1 profession in America for 2020, according to Glass door, with $123,000 as the median base salary currently paid to the data science professionals. The US alone suffers from a shortage of 190000 data scientists. India being a global IT leader has a significant prospect for this role.

To assuage the high demand, people should direct their attention towards learning the necessary skills that will help them to take up Data Science as a prospective career. There is a pressing need to fill the skill gap in order to churn out Data Scientists required by industries for their versatile applications. With this Vision in mind a three day workshop on Data Science is conducted from 5th-7th Feb,2020 at G H Raisoni University, Saikheda in collaboration with KITS Tech-learning Centre. The Event commenced with kindling the lamp by the hands of Mr. Shriram Joshi, Registrar GHRU, the Speakers of the Workshop- Dr. Vijay. G. Bhattad, Ex-Scientist, NASA & V.P Operation, KITS, Miss. Kajal Rajvaidya, International Data Science trainer & CEO, KITS under the sincere presence of Prof. Sonia. H. Bajaj, Event Co-ordinator & Prof. Shailesh Vyas, Event Co-cordinator, Computer Science & Engineering Department. The Workshop had total 50 vibrant participants from diverse fields having Data Science as their keen subject of interest. The Workshop provided a primer on the subject through intense lecture cum hands-on sessions on AI based systems and Object detection application. The Event concluded by a demo of India’s First Robotic Arm-A Patent in the name of Dr. Vijay Bhattad and team which added more curiosity among the students towards learning & excelling in the field.

Seven days NSS Special Camping at Bothiya Madhya Pradesh by GHRU, Saikheda

A Seven Days NSS Special Camping was organised by NSS Unit G H Raisoni University at Bothiya from 27th Jan 2020 to 02nd Feb 2020. The camp was inaugurated by Honorable Vice-Chancellor Dr. Meena Rajesh under the active presence of Prof. Lalchand Devhare NSS Coordinator, Shrimati Asha Mahant Sarpanch, Upa-Sarpanch Shri Siddharth Narnavare, Shri Shyamkumar Paradkar Principal Govt. high school, Shri Romnath Mandave Principal govt. Primary school Bothiya. The camp started with the cleanliness program where NSS unit perform cleanliness and participative cleaning activities in the village.

The unit actively participated in the village survey and collected information about the problems of the village regarding the issues of sanitation, education and agriculture. The unit also performed educational awareness activity for school children and made them aware about the importance of education, Computer skills, English, health and discipline in life. The unit also organised T.B Awareness, health check-up & medicine distribution camp for the villagers. During the camping the unit focussed on remedial actions for agricultural and water issues of the village with the active participation of the villagers. On the closing day the unit organised different competition & cultural events such as drawing, Painting, Singing, and Dancing. The villagers responded positively to the camp and showed their active cooperation during the camp. Industrial Visit to Drytech Process (I) Pvt. Ltd. by GHRU, Saikheda Student

Students from B.B.A (Bachelor of Business Administration) & M.B.A (Master of Business Administration) department of G H Raisoni University, Saikheda got the exciting opportunity of visiting Drytech Process (I) Pvt. Ltd situated in Pandhurna, supported by Dr. Meena Rajesh (Vice Chancellor) under the guidance of Prof. Abhijeet Jaiswal (HOD, School of Commerce & Management),with the help of teaching staff, Prof. Priyanka Deshmukh, Prof. Shweta Chourasia, Prof. Adheer Goyal, and Prof. Shraddha Chandak.

And it is Needless to mention, that all the youngsters were buzzing at the prospect of going to the place where one of their favorite treats, Storia drink is made! Upon arrival at 14.15 PM on 08th February 2020, they were explained about the process of manufacturing Storia Drink and other products like processed powders of fruits, vegetables, tomato, cheese, tamrind etc. They also explain the importance of industrial safety & industrial hygiene.

These products are exported to Canada, Europe, Middle – East, Asia Pacific, Africa, and Latin – America and Australia. Students were guided to production building where they saw First Unit – Admin Block, Second Unit – Mechanical Workshop , Three Unit –Effluent Treatment Plan (ETP) , Four Unit – Dryers , Unit Five – Safe Assemble Point in case of emergency , Unit Six – Bottling Plant and Unit Seven - Warehouse

What really captured the students’ fascination was what followed: the working of the manufacturing plant. From a deck overhead, the students were able to observe the assembly line system of processing machines. They saw fruits, vegetables, cheese etc getting processed with their automated micro – encapsulation technology. The whole system was explained by Mr.Rakesh Dhodre (HR Head) & his Asst. Manager Mr. Devdatt in a very easy way. He also explained the process of preparing powders. Towards the end, Storia drinks were served to all students with snacks.

The combination of learning while having fun was made possible by seeing the processing plant in person, which, like many other topics, cannot be explained in the four walls of a classroom, but was made so much more effective when it is accessible and experienced by the learners. Through such field trips, we hope to cultivate practical learners by fueling their innate curiosity and encouraging them to understand in a hands-on way. The field trip was an overall success with the students’ enthusiastic response.

Industrial Visit To Nal Damayanti Sagar by GHRU, Saikheda Students

School of Engineering & Technology, G H Raisoni University, Saikheda, organized Educational Industrial Visit on 8th February 2020 to Nal Damayanti Sagar (Upper Wardha Dam) at Shimbhora village ,Tah-Morshi ,Dist Amravati (MH) for the students of B.Tech. & Diploma in Civil engineering. More than 30 students of B. Tech. and Diploma in Civil Engineering have taken the benefit from the Educational Industrial visit and learnt more about the Dam structure, operating radial gate systems opening of the dam, Hydrological parameter, Application in Irrigation system, losses, Dead storage of Dam, LBC, RBC,FRL ,Slipway ,and drinking water supplying system etc it’s Check to operating system by advance gate opening and lock by machinery system learn something new. In civil engineering point of view importance of dam structure with various applications, the required permission and valuable guidance to the students by was given by Er.Umesh Shinde sir, Er. G. Sane sir and Mr. Fande sir Canal operator of Nal Damayanti Sagar(Upper Wardha Dam) .

From School of Engineering and Technology Prof. Badal Harinkhede, Prof.Milind Ganvir and Prof. Mahendra Ridhorkar Sir assisted the students during the visit for explaining the various Components and Drawing section maps of the area Studied by students. The visit was conducted successfully under the guidance of Dr. Sachin Karale, Dean SOET and Prof. Ajay Mahawadiwar, Training and Placement Coordinator. hands-on way.

G H Raisoni University, Saikheda hold Cricket Tournament

Sports meet is one of the most awaited events of G H Raisoni University Saikheda. In an exciting event students were enthusiastic for an adrenaline rush. This year a 7 Days Cricket Tournament was organized for the intercollege students.

The meet was inaugurated by Mr. Vijayji Chore, MLA Sausar Constituency in the presence of Dr. Meena Rajesh, Vice Chancellor, G H Raisoni University, Saikheda Mr. Pravin Bagde, Janpat, Vice President, Mr. Sandeep Thakre, and Social Worker. Students were thrilled with activities like score keeping, commentary, cheering, umpiring, etc. for their team members.

Mr. Akshay, Mr. Ankit Hingane , Mr. Vishal Ghaywat , and Mr. Saket Ishwar under the able guidance of Dr. Sanjay Kaduskar, Sports Incharge Prof. Badal Harinkhede Prof. Sonia Bajaj, worked hard for the success of the Sports Meet.

G H Raisoni University, Saikheda organized Mega Inter School & Collegiate “Badminton League”

School of Commerce & Management of G H Raisoni University’s, Saikheda has organized the sports tournament “Mega Inter School & Collegiate Badminton League” at University campus on 28th & 29th January 2020. The preliminary rounds were played on 28th Jan.2020 whereas quarters, semi-finals and finals were played on 29th Jan 2020. The inaugural function commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the Dr. Meena Rajesh, Vice Chancellor, Mr. Shriram Joshi, Registrar, Prof. Abhijeet Jaiswal, Dr. Kevin Gawli, Mr. Gautam Jain, Prof. Adheer Goyal.

The purpose behind this tournament was to give students a platform to showcase their skills and sportsmanship and to enlighten the students of commerce & management department to learn real-life management skills and its execution. The students enthusiastically participated in the league. The league was coordinated and organized by HoD, School of Commerce & Management, Prof. Abhijeet Jaiswal, and Co-Ordinated by Prof. Adheer Goyal. The participant students in the league were 110 from 15 different School & colleges of Pandhurna , Saunsar , Chhindwara and Nagpur.

The young aspiring players enthralled the audience with their excellent performances and each participant outperformed the other.

The Referees for the event were Dr. Sanjay Kaduskar, Sports In-charges, GHRU Mr. Nikhil Kalambe , Mr. Atal Gupta, Mr. Abhishek Rane.

The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Dr. Meena Rajesh applauded the participants, along-with presenting certificates & cash prizes to winners of the tournament, and encouraged them to keep their high spirit in Badminton.

The Runner-up in the Mens category was bagged by Mr.Shubhashish Rai & and the Winner is Mr.Umakant Kurkanji. While Runner-Up in women’s category was bagged by Miss.Rupali Buwade and Winner is Miss. Utkarsha Sharma.

The league was successfully conducted by the efforts of HOD, School of Commerce & Management, Prof. Abhijeet Jaiswal & Event Co-Ordinator, Prof. Adheer Goyal, with special thanks to Dr. Sanjay Kaduskar and Mr.Ritesh Wagh for support.

GHRU, Saikheda Faculty Delivered A Lecture on “Research Methodology” at RKSD College of Pharmacy, Kaithal, Haryana

The RKSD College of Pharmacy, Kaithal, Haryana organized a Guest Lecture on demand of students “Research Methodology & Optimization” on 01st March 2019. The guest speaker was Dr. Suhas N. Sakarkar, Professor & Dean, School of Pharmacy, G H Raisoni University, Saikheda (M.P). A guest lecture was started with welcome by Prof. (Dr.) Rashmi Manchanda, with an attendance of around 50-60 M. Pharm and B. Pharm final year students. The lecture was designed to understand the basic elements of research. The speaker spoke at length about the importance of research and how it helps to shape the world that we live in today. He explained basic of research moved on to delineating the various steps that have to be undertaken for conducting a good research.

The another topic -the theories of optimization was also dealt in deep with simplified examples to reach the crux's so that the students understand in a more simplified way and can apply the theory of optimization in a more better way to reach their research outcomes. “It is in this generation's reach to transform gender relations, to empower women and girls, and humanity as a whole.” Along with millions of people around the globe, G H Raisoni University, Saikheda also celebrated International Women's Day on 8.3.2019 a day that honour the achievements and calls attention to the rights of women. The world has witnessed a significant change and attitudinal shift in both Women's and society's thoughts about Women's equality and emancipation. International Women's Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The celebration started with the information regarding “Why International Women's day is Celebrated” Dr. Sheetal Bokade, Gynaecologist

Navjeevan Hospital, Saunsar was invited as the chief guest for the programme. The guest was honoured and felicitated by our Dr. Rajan Welukar, Vice Chancellor of G H Raisoni University. The guests caught up in the celebration with great enthusiasm and spoke about the Personal Hygiene and Health followed by a short film. The Inaugural session was followed by a presentation on “Women Achievers of the World”. A competition on “My Inspirations” was held for students. The program proceeded with a rock and roll session for the teaching and non-teaching female staff of the University. Vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Sophia Ansari, Registrar G H Raisoni University. The celebration ended with a great triumph.

International Women's Day Celebrated at School of Law, GHRU, Saikheda

8 March the International Women's Day was celebrated by the students of G H Raisoni University School of Law, Saikheda, Chhindwara. In a unique gesture they invited the class four employees specially the cleaning staff of women crusader and felicitated them for the enormous contribution they provide for keeping the campus clean throughout. Some students presented their views on Women's day by sharing their inspirational character of women around. Dedicated melodious songs by singing for all. They shown in action the concept of equality and fraternity which was appreciated by all.

GHRU, Saikheda Organized Personality Assessment Activity

On 7 March 2019 for the students of BA LLB second semester an activity was conducted - Personality Assessment. The Resource person was Saleha Khan. The workshop was conducted with an aim to provide first hand experience on Personality assessment to students. The Five Factor Personality Inventory by McCrae and Costa was administered on students. After completion of inventory, the scoring technique was explained to them, followed by interpretation of scores of each personality trait. As per need counseling was also provided to students. With this workshop students have gained experience in administration, scoring and interpretation of psychological test. It has also given them an insight about their own personality traits.

NSS Volunteers Attended 2 Days NSS Youth Workshop at GHRU, Saikheda

NSS volunteers and NSS Program officer of GHRCE were invited at G H Raisoni University Campus at Saikheda MP for 2 days NSS Youth workshop. The theme of workshop was 'Is it possible to transform the Nation…' in which a collective, youth network formed in order to identify and meet the challenges that young people are facing over the world today. This workshop comprises of 4 sessions. On 23rd fen 19 inauguration was done on the hands of Dr. Rajan Velukar, VC, GHRU, Dr. Satish Gogulwar, Social Activist, Gadchiroli, Ms. Aparna Mukhrjee & Dr. Sofia Ansari, Registrar, GHRU. The first session was conducted by Dr. Satish Gogulwar sir in which he transformed the social activity thought in to young minds.

Second session was conducted by Ms. Aparna Mukhrjee on activity based learning. A campfire was organized for all participants at GHRU Hostel campus. On 24th feb 19 a tree plantation activity was carried out in morning. The first session was taken by Dr. Yogesh Kokutwar who provided medical facilities at Gadchiroli Tahsil. The last session of camp was comprising of Certificate distribution and valedictory function. Students learned many things from the workshop and observed the social responsibility on them.

Guest Lecture on “Self Discipline” at GHRU, Saikheda

The Department of Pharmacy, Adesh University, Bhatinda Punjab, organized a Guest Lecture on “Self Discipline” on 28th February 2019 at university Central seminar hall. The guest speaker was Dr. Suhas N. Sakarkar, Professor & Dean, School of Pharmacy, G. H. Raisoni University, Saikheda (M.P). The event started with invocation song followed by a welcome address by Prof. Sarbjeet Brar. The guest lecture was delivered with an energetic talk by Dr. Suhas N. Sakarkar. In his talk, he emphasized the importance of basic science & research in synergistic with self discipline. He motivated the students on - l Dream Big-choose the right pathway.

l Recover from mistakes. Being able to move on from mistakes is a major part of self-discipline. l Create goal planning. Know when you're most motivated. l Remain positive. l Have desire to do something. and make small steps for same. l Always develop an action plan. lHave a better quality of life for a better mind. The lecture started around 11:00 AM. The lecture was received with admiration by approximately 300+ B. Pharm, D. Pharm and Pharm D. and Physiotherapy students along with staff members, Dean of medicine and gained wonderful awareness from him. The event ended with honorarium to the guests and vote of thanks.

Training & Placement Department of School of Engineering & Technology, G H Raisoni University, Saikheda organized a one day Mines Visit to Manganese Ore India Ltd. (MOIL), Gumgaon Mine. Training and Placement Department of School of Engineering and Technology, G H Raisoni University, Saikheda (M.P.) has organized a one day mines visit to Gumgaon Mine of Manganese Ore India Ltd. (MOIL) for the students of B. Tech. and Diploma in Engineering Second year students of Mining and Civil Engineering disciplines under the aegis of Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) meant for planning, guiding and monitoring Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Enhancement (QE) activities of the University.

The main aim behind arranging this mine visit was to provide students a glimpse of the various manufacturing processes adopted in Metal Mine with Shaft sinking Project and Surveying for Civil Engineering students. The proposed Manganese mining area of 126.84 Hectare (ha) in Gumgaon, Khodegaon and Tegai Village, Saoner Tehsil, Nagpur District, Maharashtra has been granted lease to M/s. MOIL Limited.. The industry is lead by a team of qualified managerial & technical professionals. The coordinator from MOIL Mr. Vivek Mahakalkar and Mr. Niraj Pashine encouraged and appreciated students for efforts taken by them to study the whole process. Around 35 students of B. Tech. and Diploma in Mining and Civil Engineering were there during the visit and took advantage of the Mines visit. Prof. Chandrashekhar Pathak and Mr. Badal Harinkhede assisted the students in the visit for explaining the various concepts of Mining and Civil Engineering respectively under the successful coordination of Prof. Ajay Mahawadiwar, Training and Placement Coordinator, School of Engineering and Technology who arranged and coordinated the visit under the able guidance of Dr. Sophia Ansari, Registrar, Raisoni University , Dr. Sachin Karale, Dean, School of Engineering and Technology who encouraged students and motivated them to take advantage of the visit.

G H Raisoni University, Saikheda Students visited to Mahavir Polymers Pvt. Ltd

Students from BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) & MBA (Master of Business Administration) department of G H Raisoni University, Saikheda got the exciting opportunity of visiting the Mahavir Polymers Pvt. Ltd. situated on Saoner road. And it is Needless to mention, that all the youngsters were buzzing at the prospect of going to the place where they can practically learn the manufacturing and packaging process. Upon arrival at 11.15 PM on 15th March 2019, they were explained the process of manufacturing strips from polymers by Mr. Yogesh (Plant In-Charge) What fascinated the students most was: the working of the factory. Students were able to observe the assembly line system.

Following steps were involved in manufacturing strips. In First step – Powdering, they saw the polymers getting crushed in bulk, Second step – Extrusion, where cooling of material is been done. Third Step – Moulding, in this step the shape of strip is been given to product and in last step i.e Fourth Step– Packaging, where all the moulded strips are been packed and decorated for retailing purpose. The whole system was explained by Mr. Yogesh in a very easy way. At the end, students were also given the knowledge regarding Inbound/outbound billings entry in TALLY & ERP softwares by Mr. Surendra Choudhary (Accounts In-Charge) The combination of learning while having fun was possible by watching the assembly process in person, which, like many other topics, can not be explained in the four walls of a classroom, but is made so much more effective when it is accessible and experienced by the learners. Through such industrial visits, we hope to cultivate practical learners by fueling their innate curiosity and encouraging them to understand in a hands-on way. The visit was guided by Dr. Sophia Ansari (Registrar, GHRU) & Prof. Abhijeet Jaiswal (HoD, School of Commerce & Management), with the help of teaching staff, Prof. Shweta Chourasia, Prof. Adheer Goyal, The industrial visit was an overall success with the students' enthusiastic response.

G H Raisoni University, Saikheda Organized Industrial visit at MALU Paper Mills Pvt. Ltd., Saoner Road

As a part of curriculum, Department of Commerce & Management of G H Raisoni University has organized industrial visit at MALU Paper Mills Pvt. Ltd., Saoner Road on 15th March 2019 for all BBA and MBA students. MALU Paper Mills Pvt. Ltd. is a manufacturing entity situated on Saoner Road, Nagpur – District engaged in the writing, printing and newsprint paper out of 100 % recycled paper. The objective behind the visit was to make them aware about how various activities related to production and operation are carried out in company. Being led by a team compromising of Prof. Adheer Goyal and Prof. Shweta Chourasia, under the guidance of Dr. Sophia Ansari (Registrar, GHRU) & Prof. Abhijeet Jaiswal (HoD, SCOM) students were welcomed at the gates of MALU Paper Mills Pvt. Ltd. as they approached with great eagerness to find out how a paper mill functions.

Mr. Panpaliya escorted students by taking them through a walkthrough of the factory. Various employees along with and production and processing heads of the plant were actively engaged in informing students about the various intricacies of the processes that were taking place in the processing of paper from recycled paper. Students learned that the factory makes printing and writing papers which includes books, magazines, catalogs, newspapers, digital printing, business forms, and other documents. With a network of loyal and trustworthy customers, they have delivered some supreme quality finished products that have been highly durable and resistant to corrosion. MALU Paper Mills Pvt. Ltd produces 150000-16000 tons of paper on a monthly basis having major markets in Mumbai, Raipur, Bhopal etc., and has high caliber machines suited for processing and production. When asked about the outcome of the learning process at the factory premises, Nikhil Kalambe, student of BBA 1st year commented “we were all excited about coming over to MALU Papers Mills and today we have acquired a lot of practical know-how as to how paper is manufactured under a laid down process and this learning will greatly help us to relate to our text book subjects in an unprecedented way.” Factory visits enable students to get first-hand knowledge of actual functioning of industries and helps students to develop knowledge based conceptual understanding of business and commercial prowess.

Youth Fest- “KARWAAN 2020” celebrated by GHRU, Saikheda

G H Raisoni University celebrated its Annual Youth Fest “KARWAAN-2020” an Intercollegiate and collegiate Event amidst great zest. The program was inaugurated with the lighting of lamp by the Vice Chancellor of G H Raisoni University, Dr. Meena Rajesh, Mr. Shriram Joshi, Registrar, Dr. Kevin Gawali, Dr. Suhas Sakharkar, Prof. Abhijeet Jaiswal & Dr. Sanjay Kaduskar, HOD Sports Department, More than 1500 students from different Department in GHRU, were present and took an active participation in various cultural and sports activities.Various cultural activities like singing, Dance, rangoli, drama, Fashion Show, Personality Contest, Mehendi and sports activities like Volley Ball, Tug-of-War, Box Cricket, Treasure Hunt Boys Cricket, three legged race were organized during the fest.

The first day of programme was started with sports activities, which included Cricket, Kabbadi Carom, Pool, Table Tennis, Chess, Three Legged Race, Badminton which later got concluded with Mehandi Competition. Hon. Vice Chancellor, Dr. Meena Rajesh, GHRU, motivated & encouraged all students to participate actively in Sports and cultural activities. Its objective was to develop a sporting spirit in students, a venue to display their physical prowess and gain hands on experience of organizing a sports day at the university. All the coordinator and staff members participated actively and coordinated well. The second day of the session commenced which included intercollegiate sports & cultural events. The day began with Cricket Tournament at GHRU Campus backyard. A total of 18 team took part in Cricket, Singing& Dancing competitions were also held afterwards. The third day of the gathering commenced Fashion Show, Drama, and Skit both the days with great fervour. The DJ Night Event ceremony for in house students was held at the university's Campus Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, G H Raisoni University, Dr. Meena Rajesh and Registrar, GHRU, Mr Shriram Joshi, gave away the prizes which included several trophies and Certificates. The function came to a close in the late Night with a vote of thanks proposed to the Chief Guest and other guests and participants. This event witnessed a Grand Success.

Women's Day Celebration by GHRU, Saikheda

8th March, is celebrated as International Women's Day. This day brings many things for women – a cause for celebration, a reason to pause and re-evaluate a remembrance, an inspiration and a time to honour, loved and admired. To honour womanhood, G H Raisoni University, Saikheda celebrated the International Women's Day on Sunday, 8th March, 2020 in the University Campus. On the occasion, G H Raisoni University Girl's students from Different Department presented dynamic performance of Fashion Show, also taught simple yet effective techniques of self-defence from martial arts to the girl students and lady faculties which has been appreciated by all dignitaries.

G H Raisoni University felicitated distinguished ladies form different fields namely, Mrs. Dipali Rajan Talmale, Divisional Forest Officer, Nagpur, Mrs. Bhavna Sharma, Mrs. Ashatai Mahant, Sarpanch Bothiya and Mrs. Archana Singh, PI Pandurna to make the event livelier. During the event the guests spoke on the theme “Each for Equality” Mr. Shriram Joshi, Registrar, GHRU welcomed the guests and introduced them. Dr. Meena Rajesh, delivered the vote of thanks.

One Day Training Session on 'Employability Skills' Conducted at GHRU, Saikheda

A one day training session on 'Employability Skills' was conducted by the School of Commerce & Management, G H Raisoni University, Saikheda on 06/03/2020. Mr. Tushar Muley, Senior Training Advisor, Global Education Limited was the resource person for the session. The training session was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Meena Rajesh (Vice Chancellor, GHRU) &Prof. Abhijeet Jaiswal, (Head of the Department). The coordinator for the training programme was Dr. Priyanka Deshmukh. The session was attended by 25 students from first, pre-final & final year students of BBA & MBA. The motive of the session was to enhance student's employability skills.

The interactive session was conducted on effective communication, Group discussion & interview skills. During this session students have got an experience of how to face mock interview. Group discussions were also held to make students learn to think collaboratively and also work under competition. All the students participated actively in this session.This training session would have been great experience for the students & they would be implemented by them which would fetch desired results. Overall this training session was interesting and informative.

Guest Lecture on 'Latest Trend in IT and Job Opportunity' Organized at GHRU, Saikheda

Training and Placement Department of School of Engineering & Technology, G H Raisoni University, Saikheda, recently organized a Guest Lecture on 'Latest Trends in IT and Job Opportunities' for B.Tech., Diploma in Engineering, BBA and MBA students. More than 50 students of B.Tech., Diploma in Engineering, BBA and MBA took the benefit of the guest lecture to learn more about the latest trends in IT sector such as Analysis, Program development and Job opportunities in fields such as Analyzer, Programmer, Procurement, Marketing and HR etc. The skill sets required by the students. The knowledge about the English grammar, Special set of languages and to solve a set of queries from the customer as a service provider. The opportunities in terms of various projects from multinational companies (MNC) and the internship offered by the company on these projects and the absorption of these interns in the MNC after successful completion of these projects. This would go a long way in development of the student with a successful career in his chosen field in future. It was an interactive session which was well delivered by Mr. Dhananjay Dhore, Senior Analyst at HCL Technologies Ltd, Nagpur. Students were satisfied after they received answers to their queries from the expert.

GHRU, Saikheda Faculty Attended Two - Day Workshop on “Introduction to Robotics”

One of the major challenges faced by a rapidly growing economy like India is creating innovative engineers to solve problems unique to our environment and making them industry-ready. Embedded systems as a subject is interdisciplinary, increasingly popular, and has a wide range of applications, making it an ideal subject for sparking innovation and creative thinking in young students.

E-Yantra Lab Setup Initiative is one such sustainable approach that addresses infrastructure creation and teacher training to create an ecosystem at colleges to impart effective engineering education. GHRU faculty Dr. Kevin Gawali, Dean School of Agriculture and Mrs Sonia .H. Bajaj, Assistant Professor, Computer Science & Engineering attended the two-day workshop on “ Introduction to Robotics” as the first phase of training through E-Yantra lab Set-up initiative(eLSI) held at IIT, Powai, Mumbai on 8th & 9th Dec 2017. E-Yantra Lab Setup is an initiative of the e-Yantra project - sponsored by the National Mission for Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT) of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India to promote robot enhanced education at engineering colleges. The workshop aimed at familiarizing with micro-controller programming knowledge and basic concepts in embedded systems & robotics. The training session was trailed by further imparting the knowledge through hands-on experiments with micro-controller AT-Mega2560. The eLSI model is designed keeping in mind that a trained and empowered teacher along with the necessary infrastructure can produce many batches of students who are enthusiastic learners and innovative thinkers.
