Andhra Pradesh Agriculture Common Entrance Test 2022: AP EAPCET 2022

Selection for BSc agriculture course in various universities of Andhra Pradesh is based on merit or marks scored by students in AP EAPCET-2022 (Andhra Pradesh, Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test). The admission process to BSc agriculture in Andhra Pradesh generally begins in February 2022. Admission to the BSc agricultural course in Andhra Pradesh is based on the Andhra Pradesh Agricultural Entrance Test 2022.

Candidates seeking admission in the BSc agriculture course in Andhra Pradesh university/college through AP EAPCET-2022 must fulfil the following eligibility criteria.

• Candidates must have completed 17 years of age as of 31st December of the year of admission (2022), and the upper age limit for all candidates in the general category is 22 years. In the case of SC/ST candidates, an upper age limit is relaxable up to 25 years as of 31st December of the year of admission (2022)
• Candidates must have passed the 10+2 pattern exam from a recognised board in Andhra Pradesh with any two/ three of the subjects mentioned below:
  • Physical Science
  • Biological or Natural Science,
  • Agriculture
  • Vocational Course in Agriculture)
• Irrespective of the subjects mentioned above taken at 10+2 (qualifying exam), candidates seeking admission in BSc agriculture in Andhra Pradesh colleges should appear for Biology, Physics and Chemistry in AP EAPCET 2022
• The candidate must be an Indian national of Indian descent and a resident of Andhra Pradesh/Telangana to take the AP EAPCET 2022.
• The candidate should have cleared the AP EAPCET 2022 exam conducted by JNTUA on behalf of APSCHE ((Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education). The qualifying marks required for admission may vary from university to university

All admissions to BSc agriculture in Andhra Pradesh are made through AP EAPCET 2022. It is a state-level entrance exam conducted by JNTUA (Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Anantapur) on behalf of APSCHE (Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education) for admissions to various engineering, agricultural, pharmacy courses offered at more than 425 private and government institutions located at five districts across Andhra Pradesh namely, Anantapur, Kurnool, SPSR Nellore, Chittoor and YSR Kadapa.

Following is a tentative official schedule of the AP EAPCET-2022 agriculture entrance exam

AP EAPCET 2022 syllabus is based on topics from the 10+2 science stream (Botany, Zoology, Chemistry and Physics) syllabus prepared by the board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh. Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, authorities have reduced syllabus/topics to 30% of 1st and 2nd-year syllabi. This revised, simplified syllabus applies to current and prior year intermediate course students who desire to take the AP EAPCET -2022.

AP EAPCET 2022 exam will be conducted in two sessions every day from 11th July 2022 to 12th July 2022 between 9.00 AM to 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The exam duration will be three hours (180 minutes), and the exam mode will be online (computer-based) only.

The question paper will consist of 160 multiple objective types (MCQ) questions, each carrying one mark. There will be no negative marking for the answers that are not attempted or are wrong. The subject-wise and mark-wise break-up of the questions paper is as given below:

AP EAPCET 2022 results will be announced a few days after the conclusion of the exam. Candidates can download their results from the official site https://cets.apsche.ap.gov.in, and the candidates who clear the exam will be called for a counselling session

The counselling for BSc agriculture admission in various colleges of Andhra Pradesh will be conducted by APSCHE online. The AP EAPCET-2022 counselling session comprises various stages like payment of processing fee, checking verification status, registration of the candidate, option entry, seat allotment and reporting to the allotted college.

• ICAR AIEEA (PG) is a national-level agricultural entrance exam conducted by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research for admission to the MSc agriculture course.
• AGRICET- It is a state-level agricultural common entrance test conducted by Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University for admission to MSc agriculture course in various colleges of Andhra Pradesh.
• MCAER PG CET-It is a state-level common entrance test for admission to various PG courses, including MSc agriculture, in various agricultural universities of Maharashtra. The Maharashtra Council of Agriculture Education and Research organises and oversees this exam.
