HOSPITALITY STUDIES

The B.Sc in Hospitality Studies program is made of an intensive six-semester curriculum that equips the student with the knowledge and skills essential in the hospitality and management industry. The courses relevant to the Industry of today, like Environmental Sciences, Tourism Operations, and Hotel & Restaurant Laws, Hotel Management, etc. have been included in the curriculum. The requirement for awarding a degree is prescribed in terms of the number of credits to be completed by the students.

The B.Sc in Hospitality Studies is a discipline of hospitality that considering the hospitality industry in dynamic nature, with new trends in food, service, and decor periodically becoming the norm, it is important to review and revise the syllabus at regular intervals. Our Institute has adopted CBCS i.e. choice Based Credit System. It helps students to choose from provided courses. We were using the marking system now we have a grading system. It is mandatory for students to acquired a specific number of credits to award the degree. An attempt has also been made to integrate skill sets that will add value to the curriculum and make it more effective.

ELIGIBILITY

  • Candidate for being eligible for admission to the B.Sc in Hospitality Studies shall have passed standard XII / 10 + 2 examinations (any stream) from any recognized education board or its equivalent from India or abroad.
  • Candidates who have passed Std X and completed a diploma in any stream of a minimum of two years duration from any recognized education board/university from India or abroad.
