T.B. Awareness Program for nearby villagers was organized by G.H. Raisoni University, Saikheda (GHRU) on 30th and 31st July, 2019 at Saikheda Village.
Dr. Sunil Khaparde, Deputy Director General (TB) of Health Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India, New Delhi and other Dr.Meena thakre, Dr. H. Lonkar, Dr. prashant Bagdey were invited for the program. Dr. Suhas Sakharkar, Dean, School of Pharmacy, GHRU introduced the invitees to the gathering and Inaugural the Function. The Officers delivered lectures, gave presentations and also has shown some jingles and photographs among the Villagers and students and made them aware on Tuberculosis disease and also shared the concept of sanitation to avoid TB. After the lecture Villagers took part in the interactive session & cleared their misconception for this disease. eg. ‘Mosquito bite cannot spread TB’, ‘close to the person cannot spread TB’, ‘sharing cloths cannot spread TB’ etc. The queries were answered by the speakers. After the speech health checkup camp for TB was organized and medicines were distributed to the patients. The program was conducted under the guidance of Prof. Sudhir Meshram, Vice Chancellor of Raisoni University.
The concluding speech was given by Prof. Lalchand Devhare, Assistant Professor School of Pharmacy. All the Faculty and students of G.H. Raisoni University actively participated in the program.
