Let’s salute the nation on this auspicious day.
Preparation for the Day:
We celebrate this day with great zeal. This year great preparations were made in the G.H.R.U. Every one of us was eager to take part in the Independence Day Celebration. The Vice Chancellor drew up the programme which was announced by the Registrar on the 11th August. The responsibility of this program was given to the Mrs. Dhanashri, M. Tumme, Mrs. Sonia.H. Bajaj and Dr. Vaishali Kohale and to all the Faculties of each Pharmacy, Engineering, & Agriculture Department.
Programme of the Day:
Early in the morning of the 15th August we gathered at the premises of G.H.R.U., Saikheda. Our younger students were full of great enthusiasm. They were shouting the slogans at the top of their voice. Their singing, dramas, dances were true mark of this joyous ceremony and expressed our patriotic feelings.
Independence was celebrated with great enthusiasm and respect at G. H. Raisoni University, Village Saikheda, Dist: Chindwara (M.P.). The ceremony started at 9.30 am in the University open ground with a large crowd of staff and students.
Vice-Chancellor Dr .Kamal Singh, the Chief Guest, Dr. Sofiya Ansari – Registrar, Dr. Suhas Sakharkar, Dr. Kevin Gawali, Dr. Ajay Mahawadewar –HOD of three Schools of Pharmacy, Agriculture and Engineering & Technology respectively along with all teaching staff and students of each Department attended the flag hosting.
In the University we stood round the flag pole. The teachers and students looked like soldiers with beaming face, enthusiasm and ready to do anything for the sake of their country. We all stood in attention to give salute to the flag.
The students Achita jaiswal, Sangharsh Bhardwaj, Vrushali Jurjar, Vishal Pawale welcomed the gathering and introduced the vice chancellor Dr. Kamal Singh.
To commemorate the sovereignty of our nation, the Chief Guest unfurled the tricolor flag and all in unison sang the National Anthem and expressed the joy of our freedom. The flag ceremony came to a close with a speech delivered by the Dr. Kamal Singh.
The Chief Guest Dr. Kamal Singh said, “She is happy to notice that all students think about the joy full celebration of 71st Independence Day with a great respect. It is necessary to inculcate the right kind of spirit imbedded with wings of freedom, the sense of responsibility, integrity, honesty, readiness to work hard, great love and respect for our country within us”.
The students of GHRU sang the Patriotic song that awakened everyone’s feelings towards our Mother Land. Apurva Wankhede, Vrushali Gujar, Vishal Pawade and Sangharsh Bhardwaj shared their views on the significance of the day. All the speakers threw light on the importance of the day and our duties towards the country.
Then all assembled round the field to enjoy the well organized cultural programme that included patriotic songs, solo and group dance, skit reflecting unity, education, empowerment of women and strength to fight terrorism. This programme was arranged and very decently presented under the supervision of a team of teacher in-charge by the students who all came together from each department to mark their unity and discipline keeping their great enthusiasm alive.
The Programme concluded up with the Vote of thanks. At the end sweets were distributed to the students. Then all students and the teachers assembled in the hall. When the announcement was made to have snacks together the joy of students had no bound.
Indeed, it was a day of joy, a day to love and respect our country and make it a better place for Indians to live and experience the freedom, peace and unity in diversity.
Thus we celebrated our Independence Day in our GHRU. This day always remind us of the untold sacrifices of the fighters of freedom. We should worship those patriots who shed their blood for achieving Freedom. Everything of the Day ended with a great JaiHind.
